Electronic Visit Verification Training Materials
Starting November 2, caregivers must use Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for each shift. EVV is not replacing paper timesheets or time submissions on the web portal, MyDirectCare.com. You will continue to submit time as normal. EVV is in addition to your normal time submission. All time submissions for the following service codes must have a matching EVV record: S5125, S5126, T1019, and T1020.

EVV is federally mandated by the 21st Century Cures Act for home and community-based services. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) must comply with this mandate.
To help you prepare for EVV, DHS developed training materials. DHS contracted with Sandata Technologies as the EVV vendor. Below are some helpful materials on the two most common ways to submit an EVV shift.

Caregivers will soon receive a welcome email from DHS with their unique state-issued ID number needed to register for the Sandata system.

For additional training materials and information about EVV, please visit the DHS website.
