Expanded electronic payment options for PL & CL claims,
straight-through auto claims processing
As part of our continued commitment to enhance customer experiences at every touchpoint, electronic claims payments are now available for Personal and Commercial policyholders with multiple-named insureds on the policy.

Payments to Personal Lines policyholders include ACH and direct-to-debit. Payments to Commercial Lines policyholders are limited to ACH.

In 2021, we introduced single-party personal lines electronic payments. Now electronic claims payments are available for all our policyholders.

How it works
Policyholders who select electronic payments will receive an email after the payment is entered into our system. They will then complete two security checks, followed by making their payment-receipt option choice. They can still select a paper check, if they prefer.

Straight-through auto claims processing
We are currently exploring options to provide quicker claims handling using a straight-through process for auto claims, where a body shop estimate is included along with the first notice of loss.

We encourage all policyholders and agents to include a body shop estimate from the shop of their choice upon claims submission, so that it can be reviewed and potentially expedite the handling of the claim
Penn National Insurance Group has achieved a “Superior Rating” for Personal Lines Claims Customer Experience as measured by Ward’s ExperienceMonitor program, powered by Inpoint. This is the company’s third consecutive year to receive the superior rating.

Ward’s Claims Customer Experience Superior Rating® is based on achieving a minimum Net Promotor Score of 50 across all Personal Auto and Property claims settled and measured during 2021. Penn National Insurance is one of only four carriers to receive this prestigious award.
