A major goal at VCS is to partner with parents. In fact, it’s so important to us, it’s part of our Mission Statement. “In partnership with home and church…” This can be seen in informal and formal ways. One of the formal ways we ensure this happens is through parent teacher conferences. If you haven't heard from your child’s teacher about signing up for a conference time, you will soon. Conferences are required at the end of the first Quarter and it is during the conference that you will receive your child’s report card. We set three afternoons aside in order for teachers to have time to meet individually with the parents of each student. (November 1-3)
While the main focus of parent-teacher conferences is about a student’s learning outcomes and progress, we recognise how important it is to also discuss character, behavior, social skills, spiritual growth, and emotional or social maturity.
On behalf of the faculty we are grateful for this time to build unity, collaborate and communicate about your child as we partner together in their education.
