Kyra Williams

Kyra has attended Vacaville Christian Schools since preschool and is currently in the 6th grade.  On June 26th, Kyra was diagnosed with Ependymoma, a brain tumor.  She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and unable to attend school.

Her infallible spirit is contagious and an example of courage and true faith in the face of adversity.   Kyra is an inspiration to us all.

You may visit and keep up with Kyra on

You may help her family by donating to www.gofundme.com/4b0xd7c

W ear your Gold Ribbon in support of Kyra Willams and Childhood Cancer Awareness.

Kindergarten student Kendra Eddy requested to be allowed to cut her hair in order to give it to Kyra for a wig.

A wig will be constructed using the hair that was provided by Kendra, along with the hair cut from Kyra and Seth before her chemotherapy began.

From the heart of child, comes a gift so profound that it leaves us speechless.  May we all embrace God's Love during this trial for Kyra!

Health & Safety Message

Dear Elementary Parents,

I have been reviewing student medical records and have noticed that we are in need of additional information in order to assist some of our students.  If your child falls into this category, you will receive a letter with forms to complete.

Please complete the requested forms and return them to the  elementary office after Christmas Break. For students who have asthma and have an inhaler at school, parents will need to complete the Asthma Action Plan. One of the recommended ways to check a student's asthma level is to use a peak flow meter.  If you do not already have a peak flow meter at school, please provide one for us to use with your child.  This will help us ensure your child is getting the proper dosage of medication, per the doctor's instructions.

Thank you for partnering with us. Please email me if you have any questions at  angelia.manuel@go-vcs.com

Sincerely,

Angelia Manuel
Safe School Administrator

Parent Alert!

~ Help us to keep our students safe ~

While driving on campus, please be aware of the following:
  • Speed limit is 5 miles per hour
  • Obey all traffic signs
  • Watch for VCS staff directing traffic
  • Refrain from using cell phones or playing loud music
  • Please do not leave your car unattended in carpool
  • No Parking in the carpool lanes

When participating in carpool for drop off or pick up, please remember to be patient as you proceed.  Cutting in and out of line increases the possibility of accidents.

Helpful Hints

Should it be necessary for a student to miss school due to a vacation, parents must procure permission from administration 5 days
in advance of the absence by filling out our Planned Absence Form.

Approval of a planned absence is subject to a review of attendance history and academic standing.  Failure to receive advance  absence approval may result in an unexcused absence.

The Planned Absence Form is available in the Elementary Office.

Happy Birthday
