January Character Trait

Our confidence comes from our relationship with Christ.  Putting our trust in God and His revealed Word, our lives take on a new stability, focus and poise, confidence in God's Word and character.

"...being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6

"The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but  the righteous are as bold as a lion."

Dear Parents,

It's so great to have our students back on campus after our Christmas break!  I pray that your time with family and friends was filled with many special moments.  We have so much to be thankful for as we reflect on God's great love for us.

Our first semester will be coming to an end today with Report Cards coming home Friday, January 17th.  Please let your child's teacher know if you have any questions or concerns.  We so appreciate and value our partnership.

Next week, we will have a Used Uniform Sale.  Please see the date and time in this edition.

Also, Friday, January 17th will be the launch of our annual Spell-A-Thon fundraiser.  Be sure to start exploring who you can enlist to be a sponsor for your child.  We so appreciate and thank you for your support in this important fundraiser for the elementary department.

Have a blessed weekend,

Dorace A. Lynch
Elementary Principal
Parent Alert

It is cold and flu season.  Please be extra cautious of your children's health and keep them home if they are ill.  We want to prevent viruses from spreading as much as possible.  Refer to our Parent Handbook for details of when you should keep your child home..

Thank you for your help with this!
Helpful Hints

Should it be necessary for a student to miss school due to a vacation, parents must procure permission from administration 5 days in advance of the absence by completing our Planned Absence Form.

Approval of a planned absence is subject to a review of attendance history and academic standing.  Failure to receive advance absence approval may result in an unexcused absence.

T he Planned Absence Form is available in the Elementary Office.

Latest News:

A big thank you for all the donations already received!  One elementary student was able to raise $57.00  That money was placed toward the purchase of 30 Bibles and bottled water.  The kiddos have already sorted and distributed the donated items into bags.  They also made beautiful angels with heartfelt messages on them.  Over the Christmas break, Mr. Francis and I were able to bless approximately 30 people in need.  We are looking forward to the next distribution...

Updated Box Top Information

Clipping and scanning Box Tops is an easy way to help earn cash for our school.  However, w e are no longer able to give class prizes or parties for turning in Box Tops due to the change in program.  We will continue to give free dress passes to students who turn in more than "50" Box Tops within a month.  Dress passes will be awarded the following month.  As always, turn in clipped Box Tops to your teacher.  To receive credit for electronic Box Tops, please email a picture of the submitted  Box Tops, along with your student's name and teacher to
Box Tops

Participating brands are beginning to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Tops Label.

Eventually, the Box Tops program will become digital-only, so  i f you see this new label, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt.  Box Tops are still worth 10 cents each for your school.  The app will automatically find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to your schools earnings online.

Traditional Box Tops are being phased out of production, but may continue to be found on many products still in store.  You may still clip them and send them in!

We have included a link below to a "how to" video!
