September Character Trait

Honoring others highly by showing them courtesy and concern and by considering their views and wishes.

"Show proper respect to everyone:  Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king."  1 Peter 2:17

"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.  Honor one another above yourselves."  Romans 12:10
Dear Parents,

So much happens in just one short week!  We continue to adjust to our new school year with new routines, faces and classwork.  I hope you continue to hear positive comments from your children about their fun learning experiences.  We are so happy to share this year with you.

Reports from the classroom bear good news as to the progress of our new Saxon Math project.  Our goal is that each student will be challenged at his/her own pace.  Obviously, the expected outcome will be growth appropriate for each child's development.

Trusting you have had the opportunity to hear our Head of School, Ben Davis speak about Building for the Future - Leading with Vision.  It is always encouraging to hear of the exciting direction we are heading!

To God be the Glory!

Have a blessed weekend!

Box Tops

Participating brands are beginning to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Tops Label.

Eventually, the Box Tops program will become digital-only, so  i f you see this new label, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt.  Box Tops are still worth 10 cents each for your school.  The app will automatically find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to your schools earnings online.

Traditional Box Tops are being phased out of production, but may continue to be found on many products still in store.  You may still clip them and send them in!

We have included a link below to a "how to" video!

Parent Alert

~Help Us to Keep Our Students Safe~

While driving on campus, please be aware of the following:

  • Speed limit is 5 miles per hour
  • Obey all traffic signs
  • Watch for VCS staff directing traffic
  • Refrain from using cell phones or playing loud music
  • Please do not leave your car unattended in carpool
  • NO PARKING in the carpool lanes
  • Refrain from parking in front of the Head of School office area in the mornings.  This is for Early Education Only in the A.M.
  • Please do not drop Elementary Students off in front of the Head of School office unless special arrangements have been made with the Principal.  You may park in the parking lot and walk them in.
Student Safety is # 1

When participating in carpool for drop off or pick up, please remember to be patient as you proceed.  Cutting in and out of the line increases the possibility of accidents.

Please thank and support each carpool worker who, rain or shine, works the traffic on campus.  Your support is so needed, and maybe a Starbucks when it is raining!
Helpful Hints

Drop-off and Pick-up Reminders

  • K-5 Carpool drop off time is 7:55 to 8:15 a.m.
  • K-5 Walk on campus drop off is also 7:55 a.m.
  • There is no charge for either carpool or walk on drop off after 7:55 a.m.
  • If you bring your child to school, either carpool or drop off before 7:55 a.m., you will be charged for Extended Care.
  • Students who are to be picked up by parents walking onto campus, will be at the covered picnic table area.
  • Do not wait outside the classrooms for drop-off or pick-up.  Do not stop teachers and try to take children from them as they are delivering them to the designated pick up area.  This is a safety issue.
