Camp & Tutoring for School Age Children

SCHOOL AGE CAMPS:

Summer fun on the run!

Elementary students will enjoy exploring Alameda and all that it has to offer, as we keep the brain and body working!

During this camp we will promote critical thinking and a sense of wonder for the world around us, with hands on projects and day trips to hidden treasures of Alameda.

Activities that will be included during this camp:

*Cooking, Science & Art projects of all types

* Day Trips to Museums, Parks, Historic Monuments and the Library

* Storytelling, Writing, Photography, Music/Movement, and Theatrics

* Outdoor Fun: Hiking, Yoga, Dance/Music, and Sports ...and so much more!

Meet Miesha Lampkins, Our Head Counselor

Miesha was born and raised in the Bay Area. Her warm and bubbly spirit is perfect for heading up the School Age Camp. While finishing her BA in Hospitality at California State University Eastbay, Miesha has been working at MESA and The Child Unique Taylor campus as our Events Coordinator. Some of you may already know that she has more than 8 years experience working with Montessori children as a head teacher. She's very excited to lead our School Age camp this year.

Tutoring

Throughout all camps, one teacher will be available to tutor small groups of children in reading, writing and/or mathematics.

Tutoring sessions will be done during three week camps from 7am - 9am or 4:30pm-6pm;

Tutoring will be done onsite or sometimes at the library. Parents must identify student needs early on.

Elementary Tutoring Cost: $25 per hour.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Registration Conditions:

*Non-Refundable One-time Registration Fee: $50

*Fulltime continuous enrollment waives this fee

*Camps are two to three weeks long and camps may not be broken up.

Camp Tuition Deposit:

*Amount of first camp is due April 30th

* If student is withdrawn from any camp after May 1st, tuition is forfeited

Refund/Withdrawal Conditions:

*All written refund requests must be made before May 1st

*No refunds given after May 1st

*Missed days at camp are non-refundable

Camp Billing:

*Full tuition due before 1st of the month preceding camps

*Tuition received after the 1st of the month results in a $25 late fee
