This weekend he's featuring cinnamon and sugar sprinkled Elephant Ears, a scrumptious apple strudel made with Scholl Orchard apples, and a savory mushroom tart. We're so grateful that Asbury Village Farm is able to keep us supplied with some hearty, nutritious greens and fresh veggies throughout the winter. Kudos to Robyn and Steve for not giving up despite the brutally frigid temps last week. Look for mesclun, arugula, claytonia, tatsoi, and sweet potatoes this week.

What's claytonia, you ask? Also called Miner's lettuce, it's a great source of vitamin C. Learn more here!

Mmmm... you may want to put spaghetti and meatballs on your menu for this weekend because Apple Ridge is rolling out their brand NEW garlic bread! Made with their French Country slices and homemade garlic aioli, the bread toasts up in 15 minutes. A perfect accompaniment to pasta, a big salad, or a hearty soup or stew.

Good stuff outside and inside!
Hot Soups encouraging hot weather? Things seem to be warming up outside with these hot soups from Farmstand Recipes. This Saturday, they will be back outside serving hot soups to the community. Buy a cup or bowl and support the Easton Hunger Coalition! On the menu: Italian Lentil Soup, Moroccan Squash Stew, and the West African Peanut Stew!

And inside at the Highmark Farmstand they'll be hosting a demo with Red Cat Farm. Owner Teena Bailey will be sampling out goodies made from her grain products from 11am - 1pm.  Samples will include the popular whole wheat chocolate cake, wheat berry salad, as well as baked oatmeal, whole wheat bread and a cherry galette. She will also be delivering fresh bags of rolled oats, wheatberries, and rye berries!
