Tis the season for good tidings and joy! 2023 is at its end and we’re not only looking ahead to all that God has in store for our community in 2024, but we’re also reflecting on the incredible work He has done in the last year. December is a time of benevolence and remembrance for us all – where we truly pause to appreciate all that we have accomplished and to anticipate all that’s to come. Many Christians celebrate Advent this season, where we take intentional time to posture our hearts in preparation for Jesus’ return. We wait in anticipation for when God will reunite with His people in full glory – a time when pain, suffering, tears and heartache will meet their demise. But Advent is also a reminder that there’s work to be done still, even in the waiting. We’re not to sit on our hands or throw in the towel as we wait for Jesus to return and set things right. God has already equipped us with every opportunity to pursue heaven on earth, even here and now. We do that by taking action, giving plentifully, and loving our neighbors as we love ourselves. This Christmas and Advent season we reflect on and anticipate the coming of Christ, both as a baby 2,000 years ago and the Kingdom yet to come. In the meantime, we hope you’ll join us in loving our neighbors, giving of our time and resources, and preparing our hearts to make Him room. | |

Our 16th Annual Love Your Neighbors Thanksgiving Day lunch was a community success. We connected and shared a meal with over 500 guests. Thanks to the help of over 150 volunteers, we made sure each of our neighbors in our community received a warm meal for themselves and their families. We’re deeply thankful to all of our sponsors and volunteers who contributed to our Thanksgiving Day event. Without them, this event wouldn’t have been possible. If you missed out, check out this Thanksgiving recap below! |
