MARCH 2021 NEWSLETTER
A NOTE FROM BRYAN
March is the month to shake off winter’s cold and head into Spring. It’s one of the happiest months on the calendar. Flowers are budding, “madness” is taking hold of basketball fans across the country, while Christians anticipate the celebration of Easter. We wish you every blessing during this time of hope and renewal. Let this month be a joyous one as we prepare ourselves to be worthy of the risen Christ.

HANDS ON LEARNING IS KEY TO SUCCESS
Elevate Work provides skills training and workplace know how that makes a real difference. Brian, a student in the current session, identified an interest in teaching, so he was given the chance to teach a portion of Elevate Work class number four. He proved himself to be a prepared and effective instructor while gaining valuable confidence and experience for the future. This is what Elevate Work is all about. Bravo Brian!
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: THE YOSTS
Wayne and Nikki drive from Springfield every Thursday night for Elevate Outreach. For almost three years they have been part of the team connecting with the working poor of the Branson community. In their words, “we volunteer for the relationships. Other volunteers become like family, plus there’s the relationships with the neighbors we serve. The smiles we get at every door brighten our week.” Call Amy Stallings at 417.335.0266 to join the Elevate Outreach team this week. Helping hands and caring hearts are always needed and greatly appreciated.
ELEVATE WORK UPDATES
February’s snow and ice have required some scheduling adjustments:
Computer Proficiency Training: Microsoft Word classes begins March 15. Call Donna at 417.527.1709 for details.
Graduation Ceremonies: The public is invited to join the celebration with students of Elevate Class #36 on Wednesday, March 24, 7 – 8:30 pm at Elevate Branson. Karen Best, with Keller-Williams Tri-Lakes, will provide the keynote address.
Elevate Work Sign-Up: Registration is now underway for the next session of Elevate Work to begin March 29 (instead of March 15 as previously planned.) Encourage someone you know who needs a career boost to join us this month.
COMING SOON: MAKING EVERYONE HAPPY.
There is a funny saying that goes, “you can’t make everyone happy, you’re not pizza.” So it’s official, we’re about to make every single person happy with the addition of PIZZA (and salads, if you must) to the Elevate Café. The merriment starts March 8 so come by for a pizza pie and have a slice day!
