We love fall here at Elevate Branson because it makes us feel nostalgic for our beginnings. It was around this time 16 years ago that God implemented the initial desire and vision in our hearts to elevate our community and invest in our area’s most vulnerable residents. We’ve added many programs since then, and have seen many of our neighbors find hope, dignity and purpose. At its core, our mission over all these years has remained the same – to empower our neighbors to reach their full potential, and we do that through the power of loving, life-giving relationships. Major change always takes sustained effort, community involvement, and intentionality. We’re thankful for the opportunities we have to invest in our neighbors, and as always, we invite you to consider how you can take part in this sustained effort to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. | |

THE POWER OF MEANINGFUL EMPLOYMENT | |

Eighteen Elevate Work students have committed to pursuing a better future and more meaningful work opportunities by dedicating themselves to learning the soft-skills and tools needed to be the best employees they can be! Our students are showing unrelenting tenacity in order to become more employable, hone their skill-sets, and take advantage of networking opportunities through the class. We’re only into week 4 and are already seeing our students make leaps and bounds forward in their personal and professional growth.
This month on October 16th and October 30th, we’re welcoming several representatives from businesses in our area who are volunteering their time to participate in mock interviews and give constructive feedback to our students. Come November 8th at 7:00 P.M., we’ll be honoring our students with a commencement ceremony to celebrate their completion of the Elevate Work course. We are still in our 2nd and final environmental review for the Elevate Community property. In September, Mayor Milton signed an amended environmental review resolution, and the project received approval by the Community Block Development Grant to go out to bid through the City of Branson, however, the City received a request from the Osage Tribe for a cultural review and an archaeological dig, putting the bid process temporarily on hold. Our playground is making more and more progress each and every day, and our Elevate Kids after-school program students are having a blast! Swings, sandpits, and a slide have been installed and we’re continuing to work on bringing it to completion for all of our area kiddos to enjoy. Stop by campus to visit and see the progress for yourself, and consider how you can be a part of providing a safe, fun, and exciting place for our local children to enjoy here, and RSVP today for our upcoming Playground Grand-Opening on Friday, October 13th from 11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at the Elevate Branson campus. Lunch will be provided, and all are welcome to attend and catch a first glimpse at our playground’s progress this far.

MEET OUR NEIGHBOR, JENNIFER | | |

Meet Jennifer, Intake Supervisor at Standing By The Door Ministries. Jennifer completed the Elevate Work program in March of this year, and has used the skills she gained at Elevate Work to further her success in the workplace. Jennifer is currently working at a program that has served her in the past, and she carries the message to those she works with that "there is hope and a solution!" Jennifer also benefited from our Computer Literacy course, where she learned how to utilize Excel and all of its functions to help accomplish her work more efficiently. Jennifer is one of many Elevate Work graduates excelling in the workforce, and we're excited to see the stories of progress - just like Jennifer's - that come from our currently enrolled students post-graduation.
