The Australian IDDSI Conference will be held on Monday 20 October in Brisbane Australia, and we have a packed line-up! As a taster, we have presentations on dental insights for managing food texture. We’ll hear about the incredible Maggie Beer Foundation Chef training program. There will be a panel-led masterclass titled ‘it’s all about bread’ and an amazing Chef’s panel on flavours and fixes to bring innovation to texture modified food. We’ll hear from dietitians on IDDSI as it relates to menu planning, texture modified food presentation and flavour, and managing tube feeding.
We are honoured to have a speaker from the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission on what to expect and how to be ready for the Aged Care Strengthen Standards with a focus Standard 6 Food and Nutrition. We are delighted that Speech Pathology Australia will contribute on advocating for people with disability for texture modified food through an NDIS lens. We stretch across the lifespan with IDDSI from aged care to paediatrics. Importantly we will hear from people with lived experience of dysphagia and carers navigating dysphagia and IDDSI. And we’ll hear from seasoned CEO’s and industry on what it takes to bring new products to market for people with eating, drinking and swallowing problems. We look forward to seeing you there! #AU_IDDSIConf2025
