Elizabeth Celentano, a senior at Maggie L. Walker Governor's School, has launched two surveys in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters designed to measure barriers and offer strategies for mentor recruitment efforts.

Grab your coffee or tea, and join your mentoring program peers and MENTOR Virginia for Community Coffee Hour! We’ll be discussing strategies for transitioning from e-mentoring to in-person or hybrid mentoring this summer/fall, with a focus on transitioning safely.

Last Chance! The Power of Youth Challenge provides young people (ages 13-19) across the U.S. with the opportunity to identify a need in their communities related to racial healing and apply for a $250 grant to support a (COVID-safe) youth-designed and youth-led service project. Education funding provided by the American Rescue Plan presents a tremendous opportunity to offer young people the quality afterschool and summer programs.
