Elie shares his story!

Elie turns for support to the outreach program at

St. Stephen in-the-Field’s parish on College near Kensington Market in Toronto, a FaithWorks ministry partner.

“I just wandered into the Church. I eventually decided to step up to the baptismal pool and be baptized because there was a story in the Bible about all those guys that had to go to the Lord’s supper. But one guy said I’m too busy … with this, too busy with that. So, I just had to step up to the baptismal pool and just go for it. And I haven’t looked back since.”

“I am unable to get my own house … because there is limited funds.”

“I like to pray a lot … so that the Lord can help me.” “The problems are being dealt with by the Lord.” “That homeless guy you see could be the Lord.”

FaithWorks 2025

gets personal.

This year's theme for FaithWorks is from the Gospel according to Matthew 25:36.

To help us gain a deeper perspective, this year’s campaign is focusing on three vulnerable individuals, Lynne, Elie and an anonymous mother, who have agreed to share with us a glimpse of their struggles. They, and we, hope that by sharing of themselves, we will be inspired to share of ourselves with others whose day-to-day life is so challenging.

Your donation to FaithWorks helps our ministry partners, like the outreach program at St. Stephen in-the-Fields, offer support to vulnerable people, like Elie.
