This notice is for certain members of the manufacturing tier.
Beginning August 1, 2019, TABC will no longer accept or process applications for
Industrial Permits (I)
or
Local Industrial Alcohol Manufacturer’s Permits (LI)
. TABC will return all such permit applications and fees that it receives after August 1.
This action is necessary in order to implement recent changes in the law that eliminate I and LI permits on September 1, 2019. For those without such a permit that wish to conduct activities regulated by these permits between now and August 31, you may do so without TABC approval.
While you will no longer need I or LI permits from TABC, industrial alcohol activities remain authorized under Chapter 38 of the Alcoholic Beverage Code.
