Welcome back Elite Families!  We had a fabulous first week at Elite. The energy and excitement that surrounds the studio is contagious!  The staff and dancers have been enjoying getting to know each other  and we are all getting into the "groove" of our new schedule.

Meet our new Hip Hop Teachers!

Kenzie and Kayla Pimentel, also known as "The Duo" are twin dancers from Portland metro area. They have been dancing and competing for the past 6 years. The Duo have directed and choreographed a video for The Bossy Babes, worked with recording artist Lovey James and have done multiple half time show performances (Blazers and Seattle Impact). As a hip hop duo, their goal is to spread their knowledge to their students and to watch them grow in their hip hop career.

We are excited to have them joining our Elite Family.

Time to Review!

During the month of September, you may notice that teachers are spending a majority of the class time reviewing proper stretching, body alignment and basic technique.  In order to ensure proper class placements, teachers need to establish a base level for each class. Once they have a good understanding of the class level and chemistry, the teacher will design that classes curriculum and plan for the year.  We ask that our Elite families be patient and that our dancers enjoy these few weeks of review.  We expect classes to kick into high gear in early October and all our dancers will be inspired, motivated and challenged.

We encourage dancers and families to speak with the teachers or email me if you have any questions or concerns. We are honored to teach each and every dancer we have at Elite and we want them all to LOVE dance as much as we do!

If you would like to take advantage of Elite's auto debit service (EFT) for your monthly tuition, please download and complete the EFT form.

PumpkinEvery year we receive questions about Halloween. We understand that it falls on a Wednesday this year. We would like for our Elite dancers and families to enjoy their Halloween traditions uninterrupted by their dance commitments. We are happy to accommodate these requests so the studio will be closed Wednesday October 31st. We wish you all a safe and fun Halloween.
Elite In The Community
Foster Closet:
Looking for a place to donate your old clothes, books, and toys? Here's an idea, Foster Closet is the perfect place! Hi, my name is Caroline Carton, and I have been a dancer at Elite for 11 years. I was adopted from China when I was 16 months old and before that I was a foster child. There are so many children in the world, including in the U.S, who live with foster families who need help. "The Foster Closet is an all volunteer tax-exempt non-profit organization
providing aid to the Foster Care Community by supplying clothing and other items free of charge to children in Foster Care". They "believe that children in foster care should live as normal a life as possible experiencing love, respect, and a kinder side of life while in their foster care home environment".

Foster Closet accepts clothes, books, and toys, and other items from preemie sizes to teen sizes. They also accept cash donations.  Personally, I can relate to their situation; and it would mean a lot to me and all the foster kids out there if you could donate.

Look for a container in the lobby if you would like to donate. There will also be an envelope with a tax-deductible receipt for your records.  With your help you can change a foster child's life.

Dancer of the Month:

Each month we are excited to shine the Spotlight on a different Elite Dancer.  Dancer's are selected by the staff and will be featured on our "Dancer of the Month" bulletin board in the lobby, on our Facebook page, Instagram and in our monthly newsletter.

For September, we shine the Spotlight on:
