ISSUE TWENTY TWO | MARCH 2025

Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Ends March 31

The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment period will close on March 31, 2025. This period of time lasts from January 1st - March 31st each year for Medicare Advantage plan enrollees.

The options during this time include switching to a different Medicare Advantage Plan, dropping your Advantage plan and returning to Original Medicare (Part A and B), and enrolling in a Medicare prescription Drug Plan (Part D) if you go back to Original Medicare.

The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period is only for Medicare Advantage plan members. You cannot switch from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage plan at this time. This period gives you a second chance to make sure that you have a plan that fits your health and budget needs. If you feel like you need to make a change or would like a review before this Open Enrollment period closes, contact our office and one of our Medicare Experts will set up a time to review options with you.

St Patrick’s Day is celebrated each year on March 17th. The day is the observation of the death of St Patrick, the patron Saint of Ireland. Saint Patrick used shamrock (a young sprig of clover) to teach the pagans about the Holy Trinity. The shamrock is now the official flower of Ireland.

The first St Patrick’s Day Celebration in the United States was held in Boston in 1737.

Celebrating Women's National History Month

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we know the landscape of the insurance industry has evolved, with more women coming into the industry that now makes up over 60% of the workforce. LIMRA reports that one quarter of women who are looking to increase their life insurance coverage, search for financial advisors, or to discuss healthcare and coverage options value trustworthiness, experience, communication skills, recommendation by peers, and relatability.

Meeting directly with an advisor or Insurance professional that they feel listens and helps them address their insurance gaps and support their financial goals is a top priority. Ultimately, they want someone to help them succeed financially and who they feel understands their needs. We applaud the women of Elite Insurance Associates who seek to educate and assist our clients with their benefits as help them secure their financial futures.
