Message From our President Mike Steele


As we wind down 2021, I want to express how grateful Elite S.C. is for your support and commitment, especially during these difficult times. Over the nearly past two years, it has been challenging for so many of us, and our hope is that soccer proved to be a steadying and enjoyable experience for your family. We are very excited for all that 2022 offers!

The 2021-2022 winter team training has kicked off for High School girls and High School boys teams! Our U8-U15 winter team training starts in January. Be sure to mark you calendars and read all important information for winter training.

Presidents Cup Champions


Congratulations to the U19 Elite S.C Girls (Coach Eric Love) for winning the IL Presidents Cup Tournament in double overtime over Chicago Rush. 2 goals from Delanie Dietz (Schaumburg) assisted by Brisa Baldwin (Schaumburg) and Mya Rubio (Schaumburg). Game winning goal from Mya Rubio (Schaumburg) assisted by Emma Ziebka (St. Viator)! They now move on to represent the state at the USYSA Midwest Regionals Presidents Cup Tournament in June in St. Louis.

The Elite S.C. Directors of Coaching asked all Elite S.C. coaches to identify 1 player on their team who most exemplifies a Positive Coach Alliance (PCA) Triple Impact Competitor: the athlete who is impacting the sport on three levels by working to improve oneself, teammates, and the game as a whole. Many coaches had a number of athletes who qualified. Congratulations to the Elite S.C. players selected for this honor!

Congratulations to senior GK Alex Rider-Leiner (Prospect) and senior Eli Schoffstall (Fremd) for becoming the 14th and 15th Elite players to be named MSL player of the year adding to Elite traditional of excellence!


Alex was also named Daily Herald All Area and All Sectional. Eli was also Daily Herald All-Area, All-Area Captain, All-Sectional, All- State, and helped lead Fremd to a 2nd place finish in the IHSA State Tournament.

COLLEGE SOCCER HIGHLIGHTS - All-American!

Congratulations to Loras Captain, Payton McDonnell (St. Viator) for being named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) ALL-American Team. Payton has an NCAA Division III-leading 24 assists to shatter an almost decade-long single-season record. In her three seasons wearing the purple and gold, Payton has recorded 52 assists to come within just one of the NCAA career record!
