Owls are fascinating birds. What is it about the elusive owl that sparks an air of mystery and intrigue? Join Grass River staff as we learn about local owls, their biology, identification, calls, and habits. Learn times and places to go searching for owls during day and night, and strategies to increase your success in finding them. Then, we'll head out for a night hike in search of these amazing birds. Participants should be comfortable walking outdoors at night for about 1 mile on uneven trails. Bring a light.

We’re excited to celebrate our 8-year anniversary and invite you to take part in the festivities at Elk Rapids Yoga Flow. We have a lineup of special events and activities designed to bring our community together for a memorable occasion.
We will have weekly drawings every Saturday in October after the 9:30am yoga class for amazing gifts! The more classes you attend the better your opportunity to win!
Join us for our Open House on Saturday 10/18 for a Free yoga class at 9:30am followed by refreshments, gift drawing, chair massages, and catch up with fellow yoga enthusiasts. Most of our amazing teachers will be here as well.

Barn Clean Up Event

It is time for fall cleaning. Our historic barn needs some care and the meadow area needs a refresh as we prepare for the new summer day camp space. Join us to clear and purge the barn, remove the old lean to, repaint and freshen the caboose, and tackle general cleanup. No experience needed. Bring work gloves.
High school NHS students are welcome to earn community service hours. We will have cider and donuts when the work wraps up, and staff are happy to give camp tours for first-time visitors.

Silly Sister’s Pottery Fall 2025 Class Announcement
It’s been a great summer, and we’ve all had a nice rest from pottery classes. However, all good things come to an end. The next round of Pottery Classes (Round 18.0) for October-November, 2025 begins on October 20. As always, classes will be geared BOTH toward beginner potters, as well as continuing potters. Instruction and demos are geared toward multiple levels of ability, and there are plenty of challenges to go around for all!
