Thrive Space- A New Indoor Home for Elkhorn SC

Elkhorn Soccer Club is excited to announce a 3-year agreement with Thrive Space for all indoor programming. For those of you who haven't had the opportunity to see Thrive Space , it's a multi-use facility with two newly refinished gyms - perfect for our Nebraska Premier Futsal League, Hive Academy Futsal Program and indoor training for all divisions of the Club.  The new 5v5 Winter Coerver® Cup tournament will also be held at the facility  January 25-27.

Located in Waterloo, just across the Elkhorn River, the old DC West Middle School is an ideal spot for ESC's indoor home. We believe in true futsal, played on a hard surface with a weighted ball, for improving player skill during the winter season. The
Thrive Space gyms provide a great environment for the game and optimal player development. With new gym floors, seating for families and storage for coaching equipment, everyone can find something to love about the new space.

The 3-year agreement will begin this May, and ESC will have exclusive use of the gyms 52 weeks a year.  The Club will rent the space when not being used by ESC teams and programs.  If you or an organization you know are interested in renting court time, please contact Emily Michaels at marketing@elkhornsoccer.org or Rob Herringer at director@elkhornsoccer.org.

ESC Gives Back

At Elkhorn Soccer Club, we believe in building the player AND the person, and several teams proved just how great of people they are this holiday season. Take a look at the service projects in which our teams participated!

- The 2008 Ajax girls adopted a family for Christmas. They went shopping as a team for the family of 7 and delivered the gifts on Christmas Eve.

- Our 2006 Sparta girls spent an evening hand-tying blank
ets for community members in need of a little extra warmth this winter.
- The 2006 Ajax girls donated to the Ronald McDonald House by collecting materials and putting together 18 sibling activities bags and paper products for households.

- Our 2005 Sparta girls hosted a two-week winter clothing drive at Thrive Space where they collected several large bins worth of warm clothes to donate to C.O.P.E.

- The 2004 Sparta girls wrote Christmas cards to patients who are hospitalized at Nebraska Medicine to bring them som e holiday cheer.

- The 2002 Sparta girls made blankets for Project Linus which will be distributed to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, or anywhere that a child might be in need of a big hug.

- So far the entire Club has come together to donate almost 100 pieces of used/new soccer equipment to benefit children around the world through the Football for the World Foundation. That collection drive will run until January 6th - bring your donations to Thrive Space!

We are so proud of all of the hard work these teams put in to give back to the co mmunity!
