Creating a place to
live, work, play, and stay!
Chamber Connection
August 2019
Have you finished reading your copy of
Building A Vibrant Community ?
At this year's Annual Dinner, every guest was offered a copy of Building a Vibrant Community by Quint Studer. They were a generous gift from Jay Wallace and Mark & Marsha Doak. It's a powerful book that the Chamber and other community organizations are using as a model for making Elkins and Randolph County a place to live, work, play, and stay!

If you haven't received a copy yet, please contact the Chamber. We want to share this powerful resource with the community.

Regency Properties hosting Chamber After Hours
August 15th
Regency Properties will be hosting the Chamber’s August After Hours at the Valley Point Shopping Center on Thursday, August 15, 2019, starting at 5:30 PM. The company acquired both Valley Point Shopping Center and the Plantation Shopping Center earlier this year. There will be food, drinks, and door prizes. This is a great way to network with other business and community leaders. Come learn about Regency Properties’ opportunities for utilization of their available spaces. They are not only looking to help small businesses find the right spot in their units, but pop-ups, non-profits, and other creative tenant uses. Hope to see you there!
Chamber Bi-Monthly Meeting set for
August 22nd at The Arts Center
Everyone is invited to the Chamber’s Bi-Monthly Meeting . After suspending the quarterly meetings last fall, the Chamber is excited about bringing back a lunch gathering for Chamber members and community members, too. Each Bi-Monthly meeting will focus on one specific business category, but all members are invited as general Chamber information and topics will be shared as well.

T he August 22nd gathering, which begins at 11:45 AM, will focus on “Mind, Body, and Soul.”  Our guest presenters will be Tracy Fath, Duane Bolster, and Mindy Chua from Davis Health System. Chamber president, Mark Doak, will share What’s Happening at the Chamber with special emphasis on two items: “Micro Chambers” and Building a Vibrant Community by Quint Studer. Lisa Wood will present information on upcoming programs including a collaborative Internship/Leadership Summer Initiative. Cost to attend is $15 for members and $20 for non-members and includes lunch.

Save the date for upcoming Bi-Monthly meetings on October 24th and December 12th as well!
