The characters in our play provide a symbolic representation of the many émigrés from a multitude of nations that have reached our shores over the years. We touch upon WWI, the Roaring ’20’s, the Great Depression, WWII; there’s a 50’s medley, and we
finish in Washington D.C. during the early 1960s with
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream" speech.
Prevailing themes throughout the presentation are the immigrant experience, ethnic diversity, equity, inclusion,
and the precious legacy of freedom and democracy in America.
