Eloise - 'God is ready for Me'

For the past several months Eloise would greet me and say, "I'm still here, God isn't ready for me." Even as life got harder over the past couple of weeks that would be her greeting.

God was ready today a little after noon. Eloise left this life and transitioned to the One whom she placed her eternal trust in.

Words alone will never be able to fully tell her story. They will have to be sung and or played.

And we will do that as we gather this Sunday to remember and celebrate Eloise's life with a 4pm ceremony at McHenry First. Family and friends are invited from 3pm to 4pm for visitation.

There will be a Saturday visitation at Colonial Funeral home - when that time has been set, I will pass it along.

First Friday Lunch

This Friday we will gather for our 'First Friday Lunch' at the Village Squire.

We will gather at 11:30 for good food and even better conversation. First Timer? We would love to have you join us. We don't bite (except the good food.)

The United Methodist Church of McHenry is a fully welcoming and very caring congregation. We gather Sunday's at 9am. The service is a blend of the new and the old and the dress is casual. We are located at 3717 Main Street and our phone is 815-385-0931. We hope you have a great day!
