Winter Health Update from the Health Office
Unfortunately after the winter break we are seeing more stomach infections including vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. Other symptoms are headache and tiredness. If your child is infected it may take 1 - 2 days for symptoms to start and the illness usually lasts for 24 to 48 hours.
Please keep your child home 24 hours after vomiting and diarrhea has stopped.
They also must be fever-free without medication for 24 hours before they can return to school.
At school we strongly encourage students to wash hands thoroughly with water and soap and keep cleaning and disinfecting. As always, if you have questions or concerns, please email us at
or call 651-492-7106.
We wish you a healthy winter - Monika Avery (Health Service Associate).

An oversight in last week's Elternbrief
Last week in our Elternbrief, TCGIS disseminated an image provided to us by the GAI and created by the organization Spielmannszug that depicted a child wearing Native American dress as a costume. This image was an advertisement for a Kinder Karneval event hosted by the GAI.
TCGIS understands how this image is deserving of critique and we regret that it wasn't caught before we included it in the Elternbrief. This oversight created an opportunity for us to have a worthwhile conversation and to learn from this error. In collaboration with the school board's Diversity and Communication Outreach Committee, TCGIS is committed to fostering a school culture and community that is inclusive, equitable, and critical in its growth. We appreciate your understanding and patience with us as we move forward together.
Parent Access to Grades and Comments Closed
Parent Portal access to student grades and comments will be closed from January 10th until January 22nd. This enables teachers time to post final grades and comments for fall semester.
