Refreshed & Revitalized Campus for 2024-2025 School Year

Elyria Catholic High School is pleased to announce that it will modernize classrooms this summer with new desks and other enhancements. The updates are made possible thanks to the substantial support of sponsors, donors, and attendees of the 2024 EC Gala, presented by The Dan & Mila Reaser Family Foundation, and other benefactors.

The upgrades will significantly enhance the classroom environment for students and faculty. Replacing outdated furniture, refreshing paint, and installing new carpet will create a more inviting and functional space for students to learn and teachers to instruct.

The impact on learning will be significant. Research shows that students in flexible learning environments spend more time collaborating, interacting with peers, and actively engaging with lesson content than in traditional classrooms with outdated furniture and strict row seating. By investing in the physical space where learning takes place, Elyria Catholic High School is demonstrating its commitment to providing a top-notch education for its students.

President Annie Heidersbach remarked, "We are grateful for the support of our community, which has made this possible. Elyria Catholic faculty and staff are committed to fostering a student-centered learning experience that caters to diverse learning styles. These refreshed classrooms will create a dynamic environment where students can thrive academically and personally. We aim to empower students to reach their full potential and succeed in all aspects of their education."

The upgrades are scheduled to be completed in time for the start of the 2024-2025 school year. Elyria Catholic High School looks forward to welcoming students and faculty back to a refreshed and revitalized campus this August.
