• Online registration is now open for members for the 2024 FA World Service Business Convention in Danvers, MA. Registration will remain open through Monday, April 29, 2024 at 11:59PM ET.
• WSC Voting member registration is also now open. A meeting may elect a World Service Conference (WSC) voting member only if it complies with Meeting Guidelines Document 1. Of note: The only meetings that are eligible to elect a voting member are those that use the FA meeting format approved by the WSBC in 2022 and found on the website as Meeting Guidelines Document 4 In-Person Meeting, 4c Videoconference Meeting, or 4d Telephone Meeting. This format removed the words "in person" from the tool of Meetings, requires members to have 90 days or more of abstinence in FA to share during meetings, and requires members to have 90 days or more of abstinence in FA and to be working with an FA sponsor to have a voice and a vote at the meeting's business meetings.
• WSC voting members must register by Saturday, March 2, 2024, and need to register twice: once as a WSC voting member and once as a participant in the Convention itself. If your meeting has not already elected a World Service Conference (WSC) voting member, please do so at your next business meeting.
• Applications are now being accepted for the following WSI Board positions: chair, vice chair, bylaws, Connection, convention planning, office, and traditions review. Before applying, please review the WSI Officer and Committee Chair Position Responsibilities. Those wishing to apply should go to the World Service Business Convention 2024 page on our website to access the application.
• Instructions for motion submission were sent by email to the chairs of the two intergroups and the Maine chapter on January 12, 2024.
• The deadline for board applications and motion submissions is also Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Dear FA Member,

The 2024 World Service Business Convention (WSBC) will be held on Friday, May 31 through Sunday, June 2, 2024 in Danvers, Massachusetts at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel. Register now on the Business Convention page of the FA website.

Meetings should not set aside money to send a WSC member to the Convention. Refer to Document 8: From A Traditions Perspective for more information. 

Your intergroup has money budgeted to support World Service Conference voting members (WSC) who require funds to assist with business convention expenses. Please visit: Eastern Area Intergroup or Western Area Intergroup for more details.

• When you register, you will also be selecting your food plan. Keep in mind you will not be able to make changes once you've submitted your payment. 
• A phone list will be generated for all Convention attendees once registration closes. The phone number in your personal profile on the FA website is the number that will be included on the phone list.
• There will be a Sharing Session from the Service Group Support Committee: Why We Do What We Do: The 2024 Edition on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 3:00 to 4:30PM.
• When planning travel for the Convention, note that dinner on Friday will be served from 5:30-7:00PM. If you are going to arrive past 7:00PM, you will need to bring your own dinner. The Convention will end at lunchtime on Sunday.
• If you'd like to share a room or transportation with other fellows, fill out the Ride and Lodging Sharing Sign-Up Form. Responses are displayed on the Ride and Lodging Sharing List. Please note that you must be logged into your profile to sign up or view the list.
