Dear Reader

Friday was World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2018.

Boardmember of the St. Maarten Seniors and Pensioners Association, Mr. Raymond Jessurun, was in Cali, Colombia, marching to bring awareness to the elderly, abuse and alzheimer's on Friday.

He lamented that the Ministry of VSA did not reflect on this day in an official statement.

We wrote a special report about this. It will be published on Monday in the StMaartenNews.com newsletter.

In the meantime, we have asked Minister Lee to give a response to this.

Have a great day and do enjoy reading our news articles in this edition.
