Dear Reader

Judge calls looting cases headache dossiers.

We can sympathize with this judge. Unless caught red-handed in the act, it can be very difficult to prove cases of looting. Yet as a community we want justice for the looting crimes committed.

We also sympathize with the frustrated father who claims SZV failed him and his handicapped son. Medical dossiers can even be more of a headache than looting dossiers for the judicial system.

Again, like the case regarding PSS, following procedures and doing the right thing are often in conflict with each other. When the system starts to fail people, we as a society have to take a stand and do what is right. We require that not only from our government, but also from our care institutions and our insurance entities.

Institutions and government entities may not have a heart, but they are run by people with a beating heart and soul and when the heart and soul are in conflict with policies and protocols, we must always collectively make the choice to do the right thing and not hide behind rules and regulations.

The good of the one, the many and the few outweighs the right of way of rules, regulations and procedures. We are talking about people after all. We are all children of mothers and fathers and yesterday it was a father in that situation, tomorrow it could be anyone of us. So, at all times people, have a heart!
