Dear Reader

Up until last night, the odds were in favor of a UD-USP coalition with 43% of the poll takers voting for this combination.

However, as today's headline reads, UD and SMCP have signed a coalition agreement last night. 37% of the poll takers were in favor of this combination.

Whether the latest news that MP Frans Richardson may be forced to give up his seat in Parliament due to his French-side residency has anything to do with last night's decision to form a UD-SMCP coalition, with the possibility in mind that USP's candidate Maria Buncamper Molanus may be next in line to take up the vacant USP seat should Frans Richardson resign, is the question.

Have a great day citizens of Sint Maarten/Saint Martin. We finally have a new coalition on Dutch-side Sint Maarten.
