Dear Reader

When we stated in our poll that St. Maarten is filthy, few agreed with us.

Yet when we posted pictures on Facebook of the filthy streets of St. Maarten with sewage water running rampant, the comments of outrage shocked even us. Nothing speaks louder than a good photograph of the evidence to corroborate a statement.

Some commentators even asked why we didn't come into their neighborhood as well to take pictures of the waste water running in their streets.

Maybe our Members of Parliament who are now on vacation can take the time to go into the districts and the neighborhoods and see the state of the communities up close and personal. Maybe even volunteer to help clean up the garbage for instance, like Koto, who we caught here on camera picking up the garbage in Cay Hill.

Remember, cleanliness is next to godliness and charity begins at home. So start with your own neighborhoods and communities and see what needs to be done to clean up the entire district.

Have a great week.

Best regards,

Terrance Rey
