Dear Reader

So now we know!

Border control also means actual controls at the borders between Dutch and French sides.

Some news are surprising. Others are not. Like the news that PPA did not garner enough signatures yesterday on Endorsement Day.

Nevertheless, MP Claret Connor is optimistic that better days are ahead while Elton Jones relentlessly criticizes the super eight for their role in giving in to the Dutch and our own Hilbert Haar points out that Dutch State Secretary Knops has a more realistic view of what it will actually cost to rebuild St. Maarten.

All in all, Endorsement Day was a subdued event as our polls predicted. We hope to bring you interviews with the four party leaders once our news clips are ready for the next edition.

Until then, have a great day today.
