Dear Reader
The Prins Bernhard Cultuurfund Caribbean Region has allocated a total amount of $110,000 US Dollars from The Nature & Culture Relief Fund to several foundations and NGO organizations of the Windward Islands.
The organisation wrote in a press release: "We know that this amount is in no way sufficient to cover the devastation caused by the hurricane Irma and Maria in September, but will at least alleviate the pressure to meet the specific and unique needs of the nature and culture community including immediate recovery and preservation of artwork, tools, equipment and facilities."
Click here to see the list of NGO's that received the funds.
This means that the cruise ships announced to call on St. Maarten on November 5th and 11th will no longer be coming. They will be coming in December or by January the latest instead.
