Dear Reader

Are there any statistics available on the St. Maarten diaspora?

Logical places to look for the St. Maarten diaspora is of course the USA, Canada, Holland, France, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Saba, St. Eustatius, The Dominican Republic, Panama, Belize, etc., and apparently even as far away as New Zealand and Australia.

In a recent discussion on Facebook one poster was adamant that there are well over 5000 St. Maarteners abroad who are highly qualified with the necessary degrees to fill various positions on St. Maarten.

It would be interesting to find hard data on these numbers.

Any suggestions?

We suggest establishing a network of organizations in countries targeting the St. Maarten diaspora so that we can have a good idea who all we can tap for our nation building efforts.

Maybe an idea for a St. Maarten headhunter bureau.

In the meantime, do enjoy reading our full newsletter today.

Happy readings!
