Dear Reader

The immediate good news coming out of Parliament during yesterday's urgent meeting of Parliament is finally the clear information presented on the current formation plan of the prison detention facilities on St. Maarten.

However, this urgent meeting of Parliament was the launching pad for many grievances voiced by members of Parliament regarding the current situation at the Pointe Blanche prison and the management of the prison and its structure.

Especially, MP Tamara Leonard lamented the fact that she had posed many questions to the minister of Justice pertaining the situation at the prison, both in private and in writing with no answers forthcoming to these questions to date.

We will be studying the recording of this urgent meeting of Parliament to find out more about these questions and any answers that will be provided to these questions.

In the meantime, do enjoy reading this edition of our email newsletter.

HAPPY ASCENSION DAY!
