Dear Reader

Online Dutch news site Koninkrijksrelaties.nu announced yesterday, March 10th, that the Minister of Plenipotentiary for the government of St. Maarten, Drs. Jorien Wuite, will be a regular contributor to the news site as a columnist.

In her first column, titled #SXMMEDIACHALLENGE , Wuite issued a challenge to the Dutch media to write at least one inspiring and positive story about St. Maarten and to share this with all inhabitants of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

StMaartenNews.com would also like to be positive and consider this an inspiring step in the right direction towards influencing the 'beeldvorming' in The Netherlands about St. Maarten in a positive manner by our GevMin, Jorien Wuite.

We wish her much success in her endeavors, not only with the Dutch media, but also with her colleague ministers in the Kingdom Council and with the members of the Second Chamber, the First Chambers and all other influencers in The Hague.

Our image needs the hands of a capable diplomat to mold not only the views of the Dutch public in general but also specifically the opinions of the decision makers that walk the halls of the buildings of the Binnenhof, the Ridderzaal, het Torentje and those around the Hofvijver in The Hague.

We earnestly need someone to tell St. Maarten's side of the story.

In the meantime, we wish you a great week!
