Dear Reader

Late Friday night, a motorist complained to StMaartenNews.com about being towed from Front Street that evening.

Good evening,

I'm writing this to get some clarity.

Tonight at approximately 8:45 pm my vehicle was towed from Front Street.

I was parked next to the church, pretty much off the street, but still got towed.

There was no sign saying no parking.

When I reported to the police station, I found numerous persons there with the same situation.

We were informed by the police staff on duty that the Prosecutor said he doesn't want any parking on Front Street regardless of the time of day.

My question is, do you know if any public notice such as newspaper, PSA on government website, or radio broadcast was made?

Need answers.

Please help!

Well, in answer to this query, the following joint statement has now been issued by the Police Department and the Prosecutor's Office: " Police and Public Prosecutor to tackle illegal parking ".

Happy readings!
