Hosted by Bhumika Tharoor, this insightful segment features a powerful conversation between Ron Busby Sr. and Nic Cober, Founder & CEO of the BOW Collective, on closing the racial and gender gaps in small business.

Ron Busby, USBC President & CEO, spoke on revitalizing North America's supply chains through small businesses at EX 24, alongside U.S. Senate Small Business Committee's Sean Moore and Canadian Women's Chamber's Nancy Wilson. The panel, moderated by Bill Kitay of AmCham Canada, highlighted cross-border collaboration and entrepreneurship.

Ron Busby delivered a keynote conversation at the Connecticut Black Expo, addressing the state of Black businesses. He emphasized removing policy obstacles and promoting DEI initiatives to foster growth and success in Black entrepreneurship across the U.S.

Alicea Gay, VP of External Affairs & Certification, participated in the ChallengeHER DMV panel at George Mason University, discussing federal contracting resources and certification advantages with Angela Dingle, President & CEO, Women Impacting Public Policy; Sandra Eberhard, President & CEO, WBEC –Greater DMV; and Mauricio Vera, Assistant National Director, Veterans Institute. The event focused on empowering women and veterans in public procurement.

Phillip W. Dunn, USBC Programs & Member Engagement Manager, joined Port Arthur Mayor Thurman Bartie at the Texas Association of African American Chambers of Commerce Annual Conference to discuss collaboration between Black businesses and city council members. The panel emphasized economic growth, equity, and community development, highlighting the vital role of partnerships.

Ron Busby, USBC President & CEO, was quoted in the Wall Street Journal article "Companies Are Scrapping or Rolling Back DEI Grants," addressing the decline in support for Black- and Hispanic-owned small businesses. He criticized companies for abandoning their commitments amid activist litigation, stating, “They made a commitment. It went away.”
