Shout-Out to...Lisa Boudzynski

This painting is from the tutorial "Sparkle Santa" in the academy. This was truly a labor of love and ( sometimes a labor of Ugh. ) It was way more than a 3-Cookie lesson for me. I went back and forth with a few PACs from Ginger. It took two solid weeks! *sigh*

I painted 4 or 5 different versions before I got it the way I wanted. Ginger was so encouraging and kind. She knew I was extremely disappointed and ready to throw the painting out the window, and she called me. On my cell phone. Wow. What a kind surprise 💜. I even got to talk to Jon, who was also very kind.

It gave me the motivation to finish it.

FYI- I had to repaint the entire background and parts of Santa's suit that had dioxazine purple in it because it created a glare on the painting. I won't use that purple again.

I also had to paint the magical stars on by hand as my attempts with the stencil failed.

But here it finally is. I highly recommend signing up for Personal Art Coaching with Ginger. 😊 She is a gem of a teacher.

Lisa

Congratulations, Lisa, for hanging in there and completing this wonderful painting!
