OCTOBER 2026

"While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease." Genesis 8:22

The changing seasons remind us of the glory of God and his steadfast love that endures forever!

Banquet Report

On June 11, we hosted our 5th Annual Fundraising Banquet at the Steak House and Lodge! We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our generous donors and supporters who helped make this event a success. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to us and the individuals we serve. Thank you for your continued support, and God bless you all!

Introducing “The Bridge” (formerly known as

Phase III House)

Exciting changes have taken place at our Phase III house over the past year, including a new name: The Bridge!

After graduating from our Phase I & II house, participants can move into The Bridge as they transition toward more independent living. While living here, participants are required to be employed and pay a modest amount of rent as they continue building the habits and life skills necessary for lasting freedom, including responsibility, accountability, and independence.

Over the past year, The Bridge has also undergone several renovations, including the addition of a bedroom and bathroom, along with new siding. Plans are underway to repair the sagging front porch as well.

We are grateful for the progress being made at The Bridge and the opportunities it provides for our participants as they take the next steps toward a more independent future!

Graduate Spotlight – Mike Drobot

We are truly grateful to celebrate the renewal happening in the life of Mike Drobot, who has recently graduated from our recovery program. His perseverance and openness to God’s healing power stand as a testimony to what the Lord can do when we surrender our struggles to Him!

Forever Joy’s Barn Dance Fundraiser Supports House of Hope

Greater Hayward House of Hope was once again honored to be a recipient of Forever Joy’s annual Barn Dance Fundraiser! Forever Joy is dedicated to raising awareness in our community about the risks and dangers of addiction and substance abuse.

This year, House of Hope received a generous donation of $5,000 through this wonderful event. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Kim Froemel and everyone who volunteered their time, donated, or attended the fundraiser. Your generosity and commitment to our community make a meaningful difference in the lives of those working toward recovery and lasting freedom.

Did you know?

The Greater Hayward House of Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported entirely by donations from individuals, community groups, and local churches.

Although our participant house (for Phase I & Phase II) is owned by Spider Lake Church, and the church is a valued supporter of our mission, House of Hope is an independent ministry. It is not operated by Spider Lake Church or any single church in the community. We are grateful for the support of the many individuals, churches, and community groups who help make our mission possible!

Community Projects

Recently, residents of House of Hope have been working on some community projects, including improvements at Spider Lake Church. Their efforts have included refinishing the church’s front wooden doors, completing finish work in an interior room, and ongoing work on the church’s playground.

Prayer Requests

We invite you to join us in prayer for Greater Hayward House of Hope and the men we serve.

  • For Leadership and Support: Pray for our directors, staff, volunteers, and board members. Ask God to grant them wisdom, strength, and guidance as they carry out this vital ministry.
  • For Our Residents: Pray that God would continue to work in the hearts and lives of our residents as they pursue recovery and move toward healthy, independent living. May they find lasting freedom from addiction and the struggles that have held them back, while growing in faith and embracing a new way of life.
  • For Future Residents: Pray that God would bring new residents to House of Hope in His timing—men who are truly ready to leave addiction behind, willing to make lasting changes, and open to following God's direction for their lives.
  • For a Reliable Truck: Pray that God would provide a good, reliable used truck for House of Hope at a reasonable cost or through a generous donation. Our current truck is nearing the end of its usefulness, and a replacement would be a tremendous blessing to our ministry.

Thank you for faithfully lifting the House of Hope, our residents, and this ministry up in prayer. Your prayers and support are deeply appreciated!
