Dear Strawbridge family:

Re-roofing of existing buildings, renovation of the Choir Room and relocation of existing air conditioning equipment to prepare for the new building will start in the next week or two!

This is an exciting time as the real work begins.

Cliff Craig, Project Superintendent for Mission Constructors, Inc., plans to be onsite

throughout the project. This Sunday you will likely see the project trailer and other items needed for the construction yard that will be located in the parking lot area closest to the Choir Room. In the coming days, this area will be fenced off, and the gate at the driveway to Kingwood Drive will be locked overnight to reduce potential theft (the Willow Terrace driveway will remain open).

Your patience and cooperation will be greatly appreciated during the construction

period:

• If you are physically able to make the walk on Sunday mornings, please consider parking on Willow Terrace Drive or Rocky Brook Drive for the next 16 months during which we will be short 23 parking spaces taken for the construction yard
• For your safety, please stay clear of the re-roofing activities that will be taking place all around the church during June
• After Camp Mini J.A.M.S. (June 2-4) and our V.B.S. camp finishes on June 20, rooms in the vicinity of The Great Hall will be unavailable on weekdays and possibly some Sundays this summer due to necessary changes in the piping and wiring for the A/C units – please check with our church administrative assistant, Anne Blakely, regarding availability.

Watch for future announcements regarding a Church Conference to consider approving an expansion of the project to build out the 2nd floor of the new building for our youth and a ground-breaking celebration for the new building in late-August or early-September.
