Dear Strawbridge family:

The new building now has an occupancy permit and is furnished! Last Sunday, we were able to hold two adult Sunday School classes. In addition, Trustees have finished refurbishing Rooms 200 - 203 on the second floor of the existing Education building.

This Sunday (May 31) we will fully implement our interim room plan, allowing all classes to meet while renovation of the first floor of the existing Education building progresses.

Here's a quick summary of Sunday School room assignments for this summer:


• Infant through Kindergarten age classes will meet on the first floor of the new building in Rooms 161, 168, and 170. A KidCheck station is in the new building reception area for these age groups.
  
• Grades 1 through 6 will meet in Rooms 200, 201, and 203 on the second floor of the existing Education building. A KidCheck station is located just outside of Room 200 for these grades.
  
• Students in grades 7 through 12 will meet on the second floor of the new building in Room 260 before breaking out into adjacent Rooms by grade-level.
  
• The Waymakers class will meet in Room 202 on the second floor of the existing Education building while the God’s Garden class will meet on the second floor of the new building in Room 264.
  
• Koinonia and Open Book adult classes meet in Rooms 166 and 165, respectively. Those rooms are located on the first floor of the new building. The Advent class will meet in Room 151 and The Pathfinders will meet in The Choir Room. All other other adult Sunday School classes will continue meeting in their current classrooms.

The entrance to all classrooms and meeting rooms will be via the Narthex entry on

Sundays and during the week. The Office entry will only provide access to the administrative offices. In addition, the kitchen and The R.E.C. Center will be closed over the summer. An updated floorplan is embedded at the bottom of this message for further reference and orientation.

The hallway from the Sanctuary building to the elevator will be available on Sundays and the elevator can be used to reach the second floor of the new building via the new connecting hallway. However, on weekdays the elevator likely will not be available until that hallway's renovation is complete, in approximately 2-3 weeks' time.

Meanwhile, demolition is nearly done in the areas of the first floor of the Education

building being renovated. Patience will be appreciated over the summer – sufficient work is planned to be completed prior BBLC resuming classes in August with all work done in September. The end is not far off!
