Dear Strawbridge family:
If you've been to the church campus recently, you can tell that construction on our new education building is progressing swiftly! Part of this work is constructing underground detention and drainage for storm water, which is about to occur in March. Unfortunately, this phase of construction will necessitate a planned, temporary closure of the Willow Terrace Drive driveway which serves as the easternmost entrance into our parking lot.
This driveway will be completely closed to vehicular traffic beginning on Monday, March 9 through Sunday, March 29. Throughout this entire construction period, a temporary sidewalk will be available to offer pedestrian access from Willow Terrace for those who park on the adjacent streets or parents who walk their children to/from BBLC during the week. Please note: Parking on Willow Terrace near the driveway and south towards Kingwood Drive during week days (Monday - Friday) will be restricted for construction operations only. Here is a general construction schedule for access on the Willow Terrace side of our church campus:
- Demolition of Existing Driveway: March 9 - 15
- Underground Drainage: March 16 - 23
- Pour Concrete for New Driveway: March 24 - 29
There are some contingencies built-in to account for weather. And our construction partners, Mission Contractors, will do everything within their control to ensure the Willow Terrace Drive driveway is available once again for full accessibility before Holy Week and our Easter Sunday worship services on April 5.
Please use the Kingwood Drive driveway during this period, taking care around work crews and construction vehicles in the area. This entrance will remain open throughout this period.
As always, Bill Koerner, Project Manager, will be happy to answer your questions via email at bill.koerner@gmail.com.
Peace and blessings,
The Embrace the Spirit Team
