TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION ARE IMPORTANT TO
OUR INDUSTRY. . . .
Why? Because from creating to completion, technology impacts efficiency, safety, productivity, and profit. Technology equips our workers to report hazards sooner; it helps our teams deliver instructions; it is making construction projects smarter. There are many benefits of technology which include:
|
|
|
- Increases in productivity and profits
- Provides tools to work more efficiently and with more speed
- Creates consistency and uniformity
- Technology opens communication providing accessibility, building better relationships
- Encourages creativity, a place to outpour ideas and concepts
- Helps us work smarter
Technology shapes how we work. Now more than ever with labor shortages, rising material costs, and constantly changing rules and regulations, it is time for our industry to innovate. As an industry, we need to be looking ahead at what technologies are available to transform our workplace, our jobsites, and our ways of doing business; what innovations are available to help us work smarter.
ABCSD is here to help. This year we will be hosting our first Construction Expo. This event will provide an opportunity to come experience and learn more about the technology, resources and services available. We are also bringing together technology advocates to create an ABCSD Technology and Innovation Committee in 2022. We hope you will join us as we partner together to transform our industry.
