Dear Sacramento Community Partners,

Sacramento County is currently experiencing high COVID-19 transmission. From June 27, 2022 to July 3, 2022, unvaccinated people were 5.9 times more likely to get COVID-19 than people who received their booster dose.

In response, Sacramento Steps Forward is making available additional COVID-19 tests to continue supporting your work with people experiencing homelessness, especially shelters that are experiencing outbreaks.

There are limited supplies. Please complete the form below ASAP if your program needs COVID-19 testing kits. Our team will review submissions and begin to contact programs by Friday, August 5.
Stay Healthy & Safe
With the county’s current state, it is also recommended to continue adhering to the following effective public health practices:

  • wear masks indoors in public settings
  • stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccination
  • get tested if symptomatic
  • maintain physical 6-foot distance
  • take additional precautions if at high risk for severe illness
Reporting Positive COVID-19 Test Results
It is also important and highly encouraged to report positive tests, and for you to promote this within your community. Treatments are now available for eligible people over age 12 who have COVID-19. Early testing and treatment can prevent the need to go to the hospital and save lives. Use this QR code to report positive results or call the phone number to report if no internet access is available.

By reporting positive results through this QR code or phone number, individuals will receive more information about treatments for COVID-19. There is also another QR code on the bottom of the form to access test-to-treat sites in California for medications.
Vaccine Update
Children ages 6 months and older can now get vaccinated against COVID-19. If your child is receiving the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, please see above for the recommended vaccine dosing schedule.
