What a week....while the days have been long and full of unexpected twists and turns in response to COVID-19, the team at MANNA has seen and heard some incredible work from our Partner Agencies addressing the emerging food needs across Western North Carolina.

All week, agencies have shared the creative shifts in operations they’ve undertaken to move to contact-free or low-contact distribution and the unique ways they've continued to serve their clients.

EMERGENCY FUNDING OPPORTUNITY

The Emergency and Disaster Response Fund (EDRF), from the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, provides a funding opportunity for human service organizations who have exhausted their resources addressing the COVID-19 pandemic across Western North Carolina.

Many, many communities are asking us to direct people seeking food resources to the appropriate agency. To that end it is imperative that you communicate your pantry status and any changes to operations with MANNA as frequently as possible.

Have you changed you distribution dates or hours of distribution?
Will you be shifting to a different style of food distribution? (Example: Drive through or pre-boxed food)
Do you need volunteers from the community?

Communicate any and all changes with your Zone Coordinator or our Agency Relations Coordinator or simply reply to this email.
