Emergency Funding Grants Available
In a proactive response to an anticipated surge in needs due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Greater Watertown Community Health Foundation has announced the availability of emergency response grants for local non-profit organizations and safety net agencies that serve our community's most vulnerable residents.

COVID-19 Emergency Response Grants will provide emergency funding support to organizations experiencing increased demand or a marked reduction in revenues due to the virus. Funded organizations must serve individuals in communities served by the Dodgeland, Hustisford, Ixonia, Jefferson, Johnson Creek, Lake Mills, Waterloo and Watertown school districts.

For more information and to apply for a grant, please visit our website. Questions may be directed to Community Engagement & Grants Coordinator Andi Merfeld at amerfeld@watertownhealthfoundation.com.

If you are aware of needs in our community that do not fall within the parameters for this grant, please contact us. We are actively listening to determine how we can best support our local organizations as they cope and serve the community throughout this crisis.

Challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic will produce a wide variety of emotions and actions for each of us, the organizations we work for, our families, and our community. Together, we have the opportunity to rise up and be resilient. We will get through this together, one step at a time!

Please focus on taking care of yourselves. Following is a resource we recommend reviewing to help you stay strong, resilient and healthy during this challenging time, both personally and professionally:

This Compassion Resilience Tookit from WISE and Rogers InHealth features blogs and videos on:

  • Stages of Fatigue and Self Compassion
  • Steps to Compassionate Action
  • Locus of Control
  • Boundaries and Expectations
  • Mindfulness and Gratitude
  • Stress Awareness
  • Relationships During Social Distancing

Show us your resilience!
There are snapshots of resilience everywhere we go. From lending a helping hand to a neighbor, to spending quality time with your immediate family, to connecting online with friends old and new, to taking a nature hike, to playing fetch with your dog. Throughout this time we'll be showcasing resilience on our facebook page. Please send us a photo or video or tag us @GreaterWatertownCommunityHealthFoundation to share what you, your family or your organization is doing to stay positive as we cope with this pandemic!

PLEASE NOTE:

The Foundation and Every Child Thrives effort will not be holding any in-person meetings or events until further notice. We will conduct meetings digitally whenever possible. We look forward to the day we can all get together in the same room again!
