The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is pleased to announce the release of the Continuum of Care and Balance of State 2020 Notices of Funding Availability (NOFAs) for the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program totaling approximately $11 million dollars.

Applications are due May 28, 2020

The ESG program provides funding to local governments and providers to:

Engage individuals and families experiencing homelessness
Improve the quality of emergency shelters for individuals and families experiencing homelessness by helping to operate these shelters and providing essential services to shelter residents
Rapidly rehouse individuals and families experiencing homelessness
Prevent families and individuals from becoming homeless
