Loaner Chromebook Opportunity! Form Deadline is August 4. Pick-up date is August 6. If you don't have a device to participate in classes, Saddleback College has a Loaner Program available to all students! Chromebooks are available on a first come, first served basis. Quantities are very limited so these devices are only for students who don't already have a computer, laptop, or iPad/tablet. CLICK HERE to complete the loaner form ~ DEADLINE IS AUGUST 4. (Once on this page, log-in with your User Name and Password to get to the online form.) CLICK HERE to learn more about the LOANER PROGRAM Pick-up is August 6 at the Mission Viejo Saddleback Campus CLICK HERE to learn more about the very user-friendly chromebook! IMPORTANT: Training and Instruction of these loaner devices is NOT available from the Emeritus Institute, nor the rest of the college. Students need to know how to use the device loaned to them or learn on their own using the basic written instructions that come with the device. UPCOMING FALL SEMESTER DATES The beginning and end dates for the FALL 2020 SEMESTER are: AUGUST 17 - DECEMBER 16

Emeritus Fall 2020 Online Classes are ASYNCHRONOUS Word of the Day: asynchronous adjective; [ ey-sing-kruh-nuh s ] Not simultaneous or concurrent in time.  Students will notice that there are NO days and times listed for online courses in the class schedule. This is because courses are ASYNCHRONOUS. Asynchronous classes DO NOT require students and instructors to be online at the same time. Instead, classes are recorded in CANVAS and can be accessed by students at any time convenient for them. IN ADDITION TO BEING RECORDED... Instructors MAY also opt to offer their class LIVE at a specific day and time. However, LIVE classes are completely optional and are at the instructor's discretion. LIVE classes are NOT a mandatory component of online classes. To find out if a class will also have optional LIVE sessions, open the Emeritus Fall 2020 Class Schedule HERE and click on DETAILS to the right of the instructor's name. In the new window that opens up, read the IMPORTANT DETAILS section.

How to Check Your Class Enrollments

Need to double-check your classes? Follow these steps to confirm your fall class enrollments. Log into Mysite Click "My Classes" Click "My Current Classes" Change the Semester to Fall 2020 Read/print your Class Schedule Want to add another class? You can enroll and/or drop classes in MySite until 11:00 pm the evening before the semester begins. (August 16)
