VACCINE MANDATE FOR IN-PERSON CLASSES

Our District has approved the development of a vaccine mandate for all students taking spring semester classes at IVC and Saddleback College.

All students enrolling in on-campus classes should be fully vaccinated or planning on meeting the vaccination requirement by January 8, 2022.

Students enrolling in in-person classes at satellite locations will need to meet the vaccination requirement by JANUARY 8, 2022.

If you are neither vaccinated nor planning on being vaccinated, we encourage you to enroll only in online classes for spring semester.

All Emeritus Institute courses meeting indoors will require students to wear a mask.

More information about the vaccine requirement will be forthcoming directly from the college.

LAGUNA WOODS VILLAGE PARKING:

WHAT: Parking Passes for non-resident students

COST: $40 payable by cash or check (NO credit cards)

BRING: A photo ID

WHERE: Laguna Woods Village Community Center

WHEN: STARTING WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 5

(Parking Passes are NOT available before this date!)

DAYS/HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

LOCATION INSIDE: After entering the building, the room is on the left, but check in at the computer kiosk first.

RFFUNDS: There are NO refunds for parking passes.

CARPOOL: Only one parking pass per vehicle required.

IMPORTANT: Enrolled students MUST purchase their LWV Parking Pass PRIOR to the start of their first class -- January 5 through January 21. Gate clearances will NOT be provided

Students who enroll in a LWV class January 5 or later MUST contact the Emeritus Institute Office for parking pass assistance at scemeritus@saddleback.edu or

1-949-582-4835. Gate clearances will NOT be provided.

SADDLEBACK COLLEGE CAMPUS PARKING:

College campus parking is FREE in student spaces for the Spring 2022 Semester.

Class Material Fee News

TWO NEW THINGS TO KNOW

1) Students will need to start clicking on "Details" in the online class description to check tf there's a material fee for the class. Material fees will no longer appear in the class description.

2) Material Fees ONLY apply to in-person classes. Online classes DON'T have a material fee.

After the Semester Starts

IN-PERSON CLASSES

Please note that students CANNOT go to an

in-person class to ask if they can be added. This is NOT allowed due to COVID protocols. The only way to add an in-person class that's full is via the WAITLIST and then enrolling online when notified.

ONLINE CLASSES

If the online class schedule shows that the class is OPEN, students can enroll via MySite even after the semester begins. If the class shows as FULL, students must add themselves to the online WAITLIST and wait to be notified if an open seat becomes available.

To keep in line with continuing pandemic health concerns, all Spring 2022 Health/Fitness Classes will remain online due to mask requirements, with the exception of Aqua-Cardio/Aquatics Classes.
