You're invited...
to a Thanksgiving Eve event of
grateful and giving proportions!

Before the turkey and sales, be inspired toward thankfulness through
music and praise.

The beauty of this event is it is a fundraiser for the Burbank Center for
the Retarded (BCR) to purchase ten or more iPads for their mentally
disabled clients. The clients use the iPads for learning and communicating, among other functions. These tools are instrumental to their development.

So come tomorrow night,  Wed., Nov. 27 , at 7 p.m. to have your hearts inspired toward gratefulness and to be a part of loving on the mentally disabled in Burbank!

Invite your friends and family with this flyer!

KUNG FU WORKOUT WITH BRIAN: Come work off your Thanksgiving turkey with Pastor Brian, this coming Sat., Nov. 30, from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Gym! Brian says, "This workout is not for the faint of heart, or weak of knees!" You can go at your own pace. Just be prepared to be pushed during this intense workout.

DONATIONS NEEDED FOR LORD'S KITCHEN & LYDIA'S CLOSET: The Lord's Kitchen food pantry supplies are very low! Please bring your donations this coming  Sun., Dec. 1. Favorite foods are canned soups, cheese and peanut butter sandwich crackers, tuna, canned fruit, chili, and Cheerios. Please don't bring any perishable items. Lydia's Closet is in need of men's clothing, particularly jeans and casual pants, that are still in good condition. Donations are collected the first Sunday of each month. For more information, contact Ginger Hartman at  gnghartman@sbcglobal.net.

PRAYER IN COMMUNITY: Join us  for a prayer walk around our neighborhood this coming  Sun., Dec. 1 , at 6 p.m. We will initially meet in the Sanctuary Overflow Room, before heading out for this time of "Praying IN Community FOR our Community."  For more info, contact Teri Parker, Deacon of Prayer, at  praying4u1958@yahoo.com .

CHRISTMAS OUTREACH CONCERTS: Save the dates for Emmanuel's Christmas outreach concerts:  Sat., Dec. 14, at 7 p.m.,  Sun., Dec. 15, at 3 p.m., and  Mon., Dec. 16, at 7 p.m. All Emmanuel attendees are invited to this important part of how our church celebrates Jesus' birth. Please start praying now about who God would have you invite!

LOOKING AHEAD

FAMILY PROMISE COMING:  For Christmas, Emmanuel partners with Family Promise to serve a few homeless families whom we house at our church campus the week of  December 15-21, offering us an incredible opportunity to love on them and exercise the grace of Christmas.  We're enhancing our program this year to sow in more of God's grace in the hearts of the downtrodden, to create bridges with them and to make a deeper impact upon hurting souls. Sign-ups for a serving team of dinner hosts, overnight hosts, enrichment-activities hosts, a Christmas Sunday breakfast team, and a staging team will be on two Sundays, Dec. 1 and 8. More details will be released!

BECOME A DISCIPLE-MAKER: Jesus gave instructions to His disciples to make new disciples. In early January, training will be offered to explain how to share your life and the scriptures with others. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Connie Karman at connie@emmanuelburbank.org.
